01
Full Bathroom Renovation.
The old bathroom was ready for an upgrade. It had a leaking shower backflow on the waste and was just dated. We stripped the full room back, removed the wall, all the floorboards, and all the pipework, and completely started again. We started with new independent waste feeds to the bath, shower, toilet, and basin. Complete first fix on the hot & cold pipework & the electrics. We added extra supports to the joists and installed sheet flooring. Dot and dabbed walls off to get them level & plumb, and rebuilt the stud wall on an angle to add space to walk into the shower rather than the wall-to-wall shower that was in before, adding a "cubby hole" in also. We fully reboarded all the stud walls again, adding extra strength, then installed a clad ceiling with new spotlights & extractor fan. The floors were cement boarded and crackmatted, the shower walls were waterproof membrane, and the room walls and floor were fully tiled. Then, the full suite was fitted with fitted furniture, floor-standing taps, a free-standing bath, etc.
02
Unvented Cylinder.
We were called out to this old leaking cylinder. After investigation, we found that the cylinder had failed and that it was time for an upgrade. We supplied and fitted a new stainless steel direct cylinder and installed and adapted the pipework to suit the new setup. Now, this nursery has hot water back up and running.

03
Bathroom Transformation.
What a bathroom! There was a huge amount of work in this one, with over 100 bags of rubble from the tiles and plaster off the walls going back to brick. The old shower area was off the landing, so we stripped out the cupboard in the bathroom, moved the wall to make room for a wet room shower tray with a concealed shower valve, and made the landing into a smaller cupboard. The room was completely reboarded, with the ceilings and non-tiled walls skimmed. Stud walls were built to make space for a long niche above the bath. New electrics, spotlights, an extractor fan, an LED cabinet, and niche spots were also installed. A full repipe of plumbing pipework and wastes. The suite is all Burlington for a traditional look. Just an inset cupboard, skirts, and arcs to finish, and it's fully complete. What a transformation from the old bathroom.
04
Hot Water Storage.
At a job in Darlington last week, the old tank-fed cylinder was leaking from the bottom and unable to be repaired; we de-commissioned the same visit to stop any further damage to the property and returned later in the week with a new Hyco wall-hung unvented hot water storage tank. This was 50 litres capable of feeding 4-6 sinks. Heated electrically, it was perfect for this car garage, with multiple sinks also giving mains hot water pressure compared to the old tank-fed system.

05
Bathroom Renovation.
There are no before pictures on this one, but it's a fully stripped-back bathroom. A boxed shelf was built to house the soil vent and concealed bath tap. Wastes were all rerouted under the floor to eliminate the need for box work. New spotlights & extractor fan, fully tiled & finished with brushed brass. Tiling done by JLR Tiling.
06
Plant Room Project.
We've been working on a recent plant room. It has a complete Baxi system boiler feeding a hot water cylinder, an underfloor heating system, one floor of radiators, multiple bathrooms, and secondary circulation on the hot water for near-instant hot water at all outlets. There are a lot of pipes on this one!

07
Bathroom Renovation
Another bathroom we recently finished in Darlington; the old, dated suite was removed, and a new, modern one was installed. It's finished in Calcatta Dumawall composite tile cladding. The bath has been stripped out completely, and boxwork has been built at the end of the bath so we can install an overhead shower and shower screen. Spotlights & extractor fan installed also. What a difference.

Bathroom Renovation.
Another bathroom installation was completed in Darlington last week. The previous bathroom was terrible, with the shower area leaking, tiles rocking due to being tiled onto floorboards, horrendous pipework, and the ceiling plastered with no PVA. We stripped it back to the bare bones and completely redone it. This typically happens in older houses, with the old plaster coming off and the tiles returning to the brick. The full room was removed and reboarded, along with the ceiling, which was overboarded and fully plastered. We also installed new spotlights and an extractor fan. We removed the old cast iron soil stack outside and renewed it in plastic to add a toilet to the room, with separate waste supplies for the wash basin and shower. We fully repiped the hot, cold, and heating pipework, moving the shower position. Overboarding the floor with cement boards, crackmat & tiling. Finishing the shower area off with Denver Dumawall composite cladding. What a difference to the old bathroom.
